Meg & Britt | Arizona Wedding at Saguaro Lake Ranch & Hyatt at Gainey Ranch
Megan and Britt's Arizona wedding was another dream come true! From the stunning views at their Saguaro Lake Ranch ceremony in Mesa all the way to their gorgeous reception at the palm-tree lined property of the Hyatt at Gainey Ranch in Scottsdale, everything was perfection. I met Meg through their very talented wedding planner, Lara of Laki Events & Design, and I feel very lucky to now call both of these ladies my friends. I chatted and emailed with Meg for a few weeks before she booked me, but I knew from the start that I wanted to be a part of her wedding day because she was very down to earth and wasn't afraid to say exactly what she wanted for their big day together. I didn't get to meet Britt until the day of their wedding, but he's got this charming southern accent and he said, "Yes ma'am" when I asked him questions....which I'm not old enough to be referred to as "ma'am" but I was definitely in awe at his manners, especially when he had two cameras in his face.
Meg and Britt met on a dating app a little over three years ago. When you see them together it's a little hard to believe that's how they met because it's like they were made for each other. Even their friends and families got along together like they've known each other for a lifetime. It was an amazing presence to be around all day, just so much love all in one place. When Meg's dad told Britt how lucky he was to be marrying her, Britt's immediate response was, "Oh, I know. I AM lucky." But you can tell just by the way that she looks at him that Meg knows she's lucky too.
Their wedding day started out with Meg and her super-fun bridesmaids dancing and singing to music in the bridal suite, and Britt and his groomsmen cheers-ing Coronas and trying to figure how to put on their suspenders (which looked totally awesome, by the way). Their vision for their day seemed to have come together flawlessly, and even though there were some snags in their wedding planning process, nothing was going to bring either of them down when their day finally arrived. Their personal touches were evident throughout the entire day. Meg handmade their wedding invitations (and most of their decor!) and instead of the traditional floral boutonnieres for all the guys, Britt had them made out of fish hooks and feathers to tie in his love for the great outdoors! One of my favorite parts of the the Maid of Honor's (Meg's sister) speech, was when she described one of her first times meeting Britt and he told her, "Meg likes hiking and country music now...." Clearly he rubbed off on her, and you know it's true love when someone learns to appreciate and love the same things as you!
I could probably go on and on about their perfect day, but I will leave it at this: I am so happy for Meg and Britt, and there's just no other way to say it. Meg, you are beautiful inside and out, and Britt, you are a true gentleman. You two deserve all the love and happiness that this life has to give, and you are the epitome of a modern day fairy tale. Congratulations again and thank you for having me by your side for your wedding!
Who would have thought that a dating app like Tinder could bring together two of the most incredible people?!
